History: KF-Consulting services was originally founded in
2002 by Dr. Kaveh Forouraghi with the purpose of providing process engineering consulting services which were specific to
the steel and metal
industries in states of Pennsylvania
and Maryland. These services have since expanded to include business and legal communities with emphasis on forensic engineering and failure analysis.
We have also expanded our capability to include both mechanical and electronic engineering design. KF-Consulting has been
fortunate to enjoy the contribution of its dedicated and knowledgeable consultants over the past 12 years. Below is a short
resume of our consulting engineers.
.
Kaveh Forouraghi, Ph.D., P.E., Owner:
Kaveh received his bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from
Iowa State University. He has 17 years of industrial and scientific experience working for Ames Laboratory (Department of Energy), Bethlehem Steel's Homer Research Laboratories, and Lucent Technologies. Kaveh is a consultant with a diverse set of skills suitable for challenging technical problems and has been involved with a host of consulting projects including both process engineering as well as forensic studies. He is
a registered professional mechanical engineer licensed in state of Pennsylvania. Kaveh is also an adjunct professor of engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. He teaches quality control and mechanical engineering courses. You can contact Dr. Forouraghi
directly at kforoura@gmail.com. For a selected list of Dr. Forouraghi's publications and the courses he teaches,

and Publications.
Eugene Deisher, P.E.: Eugene Deisher has extensive engineering experience spanning over 35 years in machine design,
process design engineering, and project management in several industries including mill building, steel manufacturing and
industrial machinery with companies such as Birdsboro Corporation, Bethlehem Steel and FLSmith. Eugene has a wealth of knowledge in engineering from design to root cause and failure
analysis. His depth of knowledge proves him invaluable in forensic engineering. Eugene received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical
Engineering from Lafayette College in Easton, PA and he is a registered professional mechanical engineer, licensed in the
State of Pennsylvania. Eugene has a black belt in Six Sigma methodology.
Jack Baker: Jack Baker has over 40 years of industrial
experience in steel and metal industries. His technical expertise includes a variety of fields including process and equipment
design, measurement and instrumentation, dynamic controls and tuning. Some examples of his past projects are the Robotic Coil Marker, 68 in. that he designed for Hot Strip Mill
at Bethlehem Steel’s Burns Harbor plant and the automatic molten-steel level controls for an experimental continuous-thin
strip caster, which was a joint project with US Steel Corp. and US Department of Energy. Jack is a savvy engineer with a keen sense for root cause investigative
work which makes him great at forensic engineering.
