Based on our long analytical and practical experiences in
level-II setup models, we can shed light on many of the "what-if" type questions that are
difficult and expensive to address by mill trials. Depending on your needs and whether you require exact analysis
or just interested in a general trend analysis, we can provide off-line analysis. Here is a list of some
of our capabilities:
- Tandem Mill Scheduling: We can produce draft and reduction practices per stand as well as Inter-stand tensions that
will answer questions on rare/unusual products or difficult products that arise from time to time. Or we can produce
alternative rolling practice to the existing product mix.
- Mill setup calculations: We could provide you with stand speed and power reference calculations suitable to a particular schedule.
Roll force, gap, forward slip and friction calculation are also included. We will use your specific mill
data to accomplish this.
- Shape, roll bending and roll crown studies: Here the effects of roll crown on strip shape and the
required bending forces can be studied. Cooling strategies and roll profiles are included.
- Winding tension policy: This is a very important process variable for winding of the tin stock. Hard core and In-body winding tension
can be examined for different product gage and metallurgy to prevent kinks and coil collapse at the eye of the coil.
